The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the assembly department.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Mentor, direct and train assembly department staff (new and existing) in a professional manner
  • Set up production lines & workstations; and assign and monitor daily work assignments
  • Meet or exceed planned production goals and meeting cost reduction targets
  • Monitor the accuracy of assembled metal components/parts with correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies according to job specifications defined in blueprint drawings; including but not limited to, assembling fans, unload/augers, roof rafters, dryers, etc.
  • Monitor that all staff are maintaining all equipment, tools, and that all work areas are neat & orderly
  • Function within the departmental budget
  • Communicate regularly with various department personnel and management
  • Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues
  • Operate forklift, hand & power tools, and other equipment as required to complete projects
  • Perform assigned tasks to time standards and quality expectations
  • Maintain professional, respectful relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations and monitoring that all assembly department staff are also in compliance
  • Assist other team members to get job done, as well as other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Skilled at troubleshooting electronics, control systems and mechanical assemblies preferred
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Insurable driving record preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities and work in a repetitive and fast-paced environment
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
  • Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Physical Demands:

  • Routinely sitting, walking, standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, reaching, and handling
  • Ability to lift at least (75) pounds
  • Working near moving mechanical parts; near noise routinely, and exposed to outdoor elements
